Rosie Huntington-Whiteley for Vogue Brazil April 2012

Yet another Transformers star snags the cover of a magazine. This time it's the gorgeous Brit Rosie Huntington-Whiteley for Vogue Brazil! On the April cover Rosie wears a beautiful retro-looking outfit from Animale's Fall 2012 Collection and is photographed by Henrique Gendre.

In case you missed it, Rosie walked the runway for Animale in Sao Paulo for the Fall 2012 show (looking every bit like a bronze Brazilian actually) which was one of her first runway appearances since her Victoria Secret days. She's put all that to the side now to focus on becoming an actress. You know, a real one.

She looks so fierce, literally, her face says it all.

A.

Megan Fox for Jalouse Magazine Apirl 2012

Megan Fox, of Transformers fame (because really we don't know her for anything else) is the cover girl for French magazine Jalouse this April. In it, she gives us her best pout (of course) in various hats and actually gives us some vintage model glam on the cover circa Christy Turlington's early days.

The Wedding of Weddings: The Invite

I'm on vacation! Nice opener right? I'm in Toronto for two weeks to attend what I like to call 'the wedding of weddings'. My twin (separated at birth and born three years ahead) also known as my cousin Samantha, is getting married! To the coolest and most creative Englishman no less. A match made in heaven and I couldn't be any happier to be here to watch this all play out before my eyes. Two weeks ago, I got my invitation to this epic event in the mail and I could tell it was a product of diligence. It was comparable to the distinction between hand made jewellery that received individual attention and the mass produced (although still beautiful) alternative. I asked Sam about it and she told me her fiancée Tim designed and made them. This was my first indication that I was going to be happy to welcome him into our family.

Front: A map of the neighbourhood where Samantha grew up in Canada

Your presence is requested...

The After Party: The thing I'm looking forward to the most after the exchange of vows

RSVP

Back: A map of the neighbourhood where Tim grew up in England

Weddings make me feel like such a hopelessly romantic female a la the fairy tales engrained in our brains. So excited for this! Look out for more posts on Sam's preparations leading up to D Day including the vintage inspired dress and headpiece she made herself (and the many other things she made, my fam has talent), the bridal party and the hilarious shots I got at her bridal shower.

A.

Kate Moss Lives the Lush Life for Vogue

The British supermodel lives out almost every girl's fantasy life in Vogue's April Issue as she glams it up at the Ritz Paris (shot by Tim Walker no less). Kate is swathed in haute couture and struts around the opulent hotel in shoes I wish I could wear without breaking a leg (or both). The Ritz was once the place Coco Chanel called home and in this shoot, I can see why.

Gush at Kate's spread below and read the full article at Vogue.

Ok stop dreaming now, it's over.

Doutzen Kroes for Vogue Paris April 2012

Doutzen Kroes lands her first 2012 Vogue cover sparkling in Givenchy (Spring 2012). The stunning Dutch Victoria Secret model is shot by David Sims.

Freida Pinto for Nylon Magazine April 2012

The Indian beauty covers Nylon Magazine this April for their Anniversary Issue. This is the second 2012 cover for Pinto who is also Esquire UK's April cover girl. She looks beautiful on both glossies but, I must say I prefer the Nylon cover as the Esquire one comes across as a little awkward and uncomfortable looking. On Nylon there's a confidence that comes across in her eyes. All Nylon girls should have that! Check the spread below (includes the letter from the editor).

Well hello Freida!

Best and Worst Dressed of the Week

I haven't done this before but enough has come to my attention this week that I need to get off my chest. You know how it is sometimes.

Worst Dressed

Let's start with the styling disaster that was Ashanti. The beautiful singer headed to Power 99fm in Pennsylvania to debut her single 'The Woman You Love' wearing this:

Now, while I love that mint colour on her I have to say I hated everything else. From the ridiculous (and unnecessary) sunglasses to the superrrr tight jeans and last but not least - the shirt. I don't know what was happening in her mind or her stylist's mind when they set this look up. It's just way to much. I know she's in the industry of all things gaudy but sometimes you really need to remember the old adage "less is more."

Speaking of less is more, Rihanna is on the worst dressed this week with this netted flashing disaster of a top. I find some of her "street style" is a bit too contrived now. Nipples aside, the top isn't flattering at all and looks like an bargain bin piece because it was sewed incorrectly. Riri, get it together girl.

Best Dressed

Amandla Stenberg was an adorable beauty at 'The Hunger Games' LA Premiere in this Collette Dinnigan dress from the Spring 2010 collection. The 13-year-old was also age appropriate which I think is important as so many of these stars don't know how to dress to suit their age (the old AND the young). I would definitely have loved to wear this at her age. It's the right length, the right fit and thank heaven she didn't wear sky high heels a la Miley Cyrus. Lovely.

Jennifer Lawrence was the talk of the fashion world in this Prabal Gurung Fall 2012 dress which she wore to 'The Hunger Games' LA Premiere. Even the firing squad that is Joan Rivers gave her best dressed on E!'s Fashion Police. Stop the presses! But really, the gown is gorgeous on her and more than just her beautiful face, her figure is what really sold it. She looks healthy and fit and not like she needs to sit and have a meal (like some other A list starlets have recently). She's been stunning at every premiere for the Hunger Games thus far, maybe not such a perfect choice for Berlin but it can slide.

Hunger Games stars are killing the carpet!

Don't know if I'll make this a regular thing but I was feeling it this week. Who was on your list of worst and best dressed of the week?

Yours,

A.

Solange Knowles in London's Evening Standard Mag

Solange Knowles has been thriving in a spotlight all her own and stepping away from the "Beyoncé's sister" title that has been her only reference for so long. She recently sat with the Evening Standard for an interview in which she discussed her failed albums, her relationship with Beyoncé, experiences on tour with Destiny's Child, being an aunt, and her new album.

On the making of her second album and its Sixties sound: "I'd have to time it around the baby's naps," she says. "And make sure he wasn't crying in the background on demos... I would send them to my publisher [EMI] and would check every day if someone was interested. This was before the retro vibe of Amy Winehouse and Adele... they were not very well received."

On the sound of her yet untitled album (to be released this Summer): "There's a lot of sexual vibes on it. I think I just finally started having good sex. This woman came up to me the other day and said, 'You know, I think people dress a lot better when they're in love with themselves, with other people, or with where their life is.'"

On whether or not she gives childcare advice to Beyoncé: "No, I really feel like because I had my son so young, I didn't want everyone's help," she says. "I think people felt entitled to give advice, so I'm always very sensitive to mums and letting them feel their way out. But there have been times when she'll ask, "Did Julez do this? Did this ever happen with Julez?" And I'll gladly give her advice."

On her relationship with her sister: "You know, my sister and I truly are best friends."

On life right now: "I'm in a really good place, and I think things are evolving because of that. Professionally, personally, I think that over the last three years I've just had a lot more stability, a lot more clarity about where I want to be and how I want to get there."

I really like Solange, she has a natural flair and good taste in fashion and music and I look forward to her next project. She also looks flawless in these photos.

Candice Swanepoel for Vogue Italia

Fashion's current "it" girl and Victoria Secret model Candice Swanepoel was shot by Mario Sorrenti for Vogue Italia's March Issue. In the spread, the leggy blond wears bold prints, a choppy bang and bone straight (albeit tousled) hair.

This shoot also features some fierce right breast occasionally from frame to frame so be prepped for some nudity - Vogue style.

A.
